Achieve Anything: Use THIS 2-minute Exercise for Success

If there was a term to define the world and how it operates today, it’s instant gratification. Everyone’s rushing, wanting everything now, and it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle. But real success? It takes time and intention to achieve success. Imagine if you could slow down for just two minutes a day to reflect and move with purpose.

Now I have an interesting question for you. Do you believe in manifesting your goals? Are you trying hard to make something happen, but it’s not working out for one reason or another?

The secret to manifestation lies in self-awareness. By understanding your true desires and inner thoughts, you align your actions and energy with your goals.

This simple approach can help you achieve your biggest dreams and goals.

In this 2-minute reflection exercise, we’ll explore how you can center yourself, reflect on what truly matters, and build the consistency needed for lasting success. Let’s take a moment to breathe, slow down, and start this journey together.

Steps to Achieve Anything: A 2-Minute Reflection Exercise

Step 1: Center Yourself

First, find a comfortable and safe space where you can focus without distractions. If you have a spiritual corner at home, use it for a peaceful atmosphere. However, if you’re at work, taking just 2 minutes at your office desk can be enough. The key is to get yourself in the zone.

Take a few calming breaths to steady your mind. Close your eyes if it helps, and let your thoughts settle.

This moment of calm will set the stage for meaningful reflection. Now, you’re ready to move forward with intention and reflect.

Step 2: Reflect on ONE Action

Take a moment to think about one action you’re not taking but know you should—something that will move you closer to your goal. Reflect on why you haven’t taken this step yet.

Most of you will find the answer. And you’ll also understand why you fail to do it.

Often, it’s the lure of instant gratification and the challenge of consistency that hold us back. Remember, success doesn’t happen overnight; it requires patience and dedication. The foundations of success have to run deep to sustain the long haul.

For instance, let me give you an example of bamboo. When planted, all you see is a little nub that turns into a shoot. Now, you may give it water and provide all the nourishment it needs, but all you’ll see is a tiny growth for four years. In the fifth year, the bamboo suddenly starts to grow at an astonishing rate, towering over everything in sight.

So what was the trick? The bamboo was growing its root network and strengthening its grip on the earth so that it wouldn’t fall easily when it grew.

This beautiful analogy can also be applied to how an overnight success has years of groundwork laid in blood, sweat, and tears that you may not see.

Now let’s bring this back to our exercise.

Consider the bigger picture and think about how this small action can benefit your future. What is the one decision that you can make today to move a step closer to your dreams?

Whether it’s one day or 20 years from now, every intentional action builds the foundation for lasting success. Make that small shift and commit to it with consistency.

Don’t focus on immediate results; trust that every step, no matter how small, is bringing you closer to your goals.

Step 3: Commit to One Small Change

It may be hard to take the first step but start with one small promise. Keep that promise to yourself and watch your attitude transform into confidence.

Even the smallest change made today towards your spirituality, health, career goals, or relationship goals can lead to significant progress. Be mindful of how you go through the motions and bring consistency to these small changes with intention.

Remember to be consistent with your efforts. Over time, these efforts will reap benefits with a compounding effect.

Step 4: Stay Grounded

It’s often easy to forget the small acts that made you successful when you’re at the top. Was it a practice or ritual? Or were there certain people like your family, friends, or a mentor who helped you stay focused? Like the bamboo, keep your roots strong.

When life gets too overwhelming and busy, make it a point to stay grounded and bring yourself back to a place of humility. This will become your anchor into authenticity.

Don’t forget the initial steps and efforts that laid the foundation for your achievements.  However, make it a point to stay grounded and bring yourself back to a place of humility.

Celebrate your victories, but always keep in mind the small, consistent actions that got you there.

Step 5: Understand There Are No Shortcuts

Let’s be honest—have you ever wished for a shortcut to success? During your 2-minute reflection, take a moment to think about this: true success requires dedication and patience. Ask yourself, “Am I looking for quick fixes instead of dedicating myself to this cause?” There is no replacement for consistent effort. Follow through with the process, even when things are challenging.

Step 6: Pray and Express Gratitude

As you wrap up your 2-minute reflection, consider this: how often do you take a moment to pray and express gratitude? Pray for what you want and thank God for what you have. Remember, sometimes rejection is just redirection.

Take a moment to slow down and embrace being a student of life, continually working towards your goals. When you achieve your goals, express gratitude to your past selves for their small steps, the sacrifices made, the blessings received, and the hard work that brought you to this point.

Use this time to connect with your spiritual side. Pray for guidance and strength to stay true to your path. Take a moment to thank your past self for every step taken, and every effort made.

Final Word

Success is a journey, not a sprint. Keep coming back to these 2-minute reflection exercises, even when things aren’t going your way.

Ask yourself, “What do I need to do in this moment?”

Work with the process, pray for guidance, and thank your past self for every effort. When challenges arise, remind yourself that each step, no matter how small, brings you closer to your goals.

The lesson is to stay patient and consistent. Know that you have what it takes to achieve all your goals and dreams.
