He offered me unique advice that stayed with me. “When your child is born,” he said, “watch closely for the first two years. You’ll see every emotion — anger, jealousy, love, even greed — each of the seven deadly sins and the full range of human emotions.”

 

 

I was surprised. How could a child display such complex emotions so early? He explained that we’re all born with these feelings; they simply become more pronounced as we grow.
