DIY 5-Minute Apple Cider Vinaigrette - Jazz Up Your Go-to Greens
Ingredients
For the dressing:
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar with the mother culture
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp homemade mustard sauce
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 tsp oregano leaves, dried
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tbsp raw unpasteurized honey
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients and blend them to reach a smooth consistency.
- Serve with the greens of your choice.
- You can also add chopped nuts or pumpkin seeds for extra flavor and crunch.
Notes
- Apple cider vinegar is a natural gut-friendly probiotic which helps strengthen your immune system.
- ACV is especially useful for those with low stomach acid levels. While low stomach acid levels can lead to issues with digestion and breaking down proteins, consuming ACV can stimulate the production of stomach acids to counter this.
- Prefer using unfiltered and unpasteurised apple cider vinegar with mother culture in it. The apple cider vinegar should appear turbid and have strands floating in it.
- These help keep your sugar levels in check.
- You can also store this dressing in a jar for up to a week.
- There is a chance it may solidify in the refrigerator. So take it out and let it rest for a while before serving.
