My Journey
I am the Founder and Mental Health Counsellor at UnFix! My work is to help you see your emotions as a compass, directing you to areas of your life that are unfulfilled and need change. Emotions alert us to our values and perceptions of experiences. These perceptions are fueled by stories we tell ourselves. My education and work have prepared me to work with a diverse range of mental health challenges, ranging from anxiety and depression to eating disorders and post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD). I am also equipped to work with individuals who might need guidance in their romantic or familial relationships. As a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, my work centers around being a co-explorer and helping you reframe how you think about the experiences you go through which can positively impact your mood and relationships with others.

“I appreciate how actively Aanandita listens to me and makes me feel heard during our sessions. It made me feel more comfortable opening up to her.”
“I am happy to write a testimonial for Aanandita, my mental health counselor who has been a great help to me during a difficult time in my life. Aanandita has been instrumental in helping me process my emotional grief and work through it using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. From the very first session, Aanandita was kind, empathetic, and non-judgmental. She created a safe space where I could talk about my thoughts and feelings without fear of being criticized or misunderstood. Her approach to therapy is both structured and flexible, depending on my needs and the issues we were addressing. Aanandita has been extremely effective in helping me overcome my emotional struggles. She gave me homework exercises that helped me practice what we talked about in our sessions, and these exercises helped me internalize the lessons and make lasting changes in my thinking and behavior. Through her guidance, I have developed a greater understanding of my emotions and how to manage them healthily. It is still a work in progress but I certainly feel more confident and empowered to handle difficult situations and have noticed a positive shift in my overall well-being. Overall, I highly recommend Aanandita as a mental health counselor. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and skilled in her field, and I am grateful for her guidance and support on my healing journey.”
“When we hear about the term therapy, all of us think that we are mentally very sorted and we can handle things on our own, right? I used to think the same way. But over the last 6-8 months, at a personal level, life has thrown such challenges at me that I decided to go for therapy. I was not sure why I wanted therapy, but I was sure that I needed therapy. I needed someone who could make me aware of my patterns (good, bad, whatever), help me unlearn them, and build up a new pattern in life. I did some research about therapists and came across @un.fixyourfeelings I somehow reached her and scheduled an initial intake session on July 28th, 2022 and I must say, that initial session was so relaxing for me, I just can't put that in words. Speaking your heart out to someone is therapy in itself, where you know very well that the person hearing you is not going to judge you in any way. And I just spoke my heart out to her and the way she handled my patterns, thoughts, my anxiousness during the sessions, and the way she took things forward with me is just commendable. She helped me make aware of the patterns which I never thought I had. Unlearning bad patterns and defining new patterns and getting them into practice does take a lot of time. It's a process and practice put together. During my healing process, I did mess up some things with one of my friends, but Aanandita came to the rescue and helped me to come out of it with some great learnings. She helped me to handle the challenges I was facing — with calmness, helped me realize my self-worth, helped me in gaining my self-confidence, helped me to accept myself as it is, and helped me with my self-esteem and whatnot. It's a long journey ahead, I just wanted to stop and thank her for all the hard work and efforts she has put in me to make me a better person because I can see some heavy changes in me. Upwards and onwards.”
“I've been speaking to Aanandita for a couple of years now, and she's not the first therapist I've had. Over these two years, I've understood that she's better than the rest for a few reasons, the biggest one being her ability to understand our generation. Her age and experience dealing with people like me are her strongest strength.”
