Jaggery – Besan Laddu

Ingredients:
– 1/3 cup A2 cow ghee
– 1 cup roasted chickpeas/gram flour
– ½ cup organic powdered jaggery
– ⅛ teaspoon green cardamom seeds powder

Method:
1. Heat ghee in a pan. Once hot, add gram flour and mix.
2. Roast the gram flour stirring continuously.
3. The mix will loosen up as it roasts and become a thick paste.
4. As you smell a nutty aroma, the mixture will get a little runny, with ghee oozing out. This is when the gram flour is roasted and ready.
5. Transfer it to a plate and let it cool.
6. Add powdered jaggery and cardamom powder.
7. Mix well with your fingertips and form a loose dough.
8. Roll it into small laddus.

Enjoy it as a post-meal dessert or as a snack. You can also add it to your kids’ tiffin box. For more recipes, visit our recipe corner here.
